BLOG POST 7: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAM
Hi everyone! Today I'm going to talk about what changes I could do with the study programme of my career. Well, as you know, I'm studying journalism at Universidad de Chile. Due to the pandemic, I didn't live my first academic year, but I've noticed that this university is very concerned about the theoretical side. If I had to change something about the curriculum, probably would going to be this aspect. In my opinion, Journalism as a career needs a lot of practice, so if we want to be good professionals in the future, practice is the key. I would prioritize subjects like Journalistic Investigation, Radio, and Corporal Expression. I think that workload and length of studies are normal. We have to consider that this profession has an impact on democracy. Consequently, the levels of study demand have to be adequate.
