BLOG POST 5: MY FUTURE JOB
Hi everyone!
Today I'm going to talk about how I see me on my future job. Currently I'm studying journalism in Universidad de Chile, so you will imagine that I don't want precisely an office job. I see myself in the future being just a good journalist. You know, I want to stay outdoors somedays, taking care of interviews with important people and, at the end of the day, investigate on my workplace the information about important national and international topics. Basically, I think that in the future I will combine the outdoors and indoors activities.
In my work I would like to travel a lot, because as a journalist we need to know all the realities around the world. However, I will prefer to travel here in Chile, with the purpoise to inform first the problems of my country. Well, I think that I decided to study journalism for that reason, the necesity to be a contribution to democracy and for the people of Chile.
Finally, another aspects that I want to tell you about my future job, are my preferences on journalist genres. I love radio, so probably on my first job period I will try to join in a famous medium, like BioBio or Cooperativa. Then, when I already gained more experiences, I will like to work in an investigation journalism medium, like Ciper or Fast-Check.
Hi Eric! I have noticed that you know a lot about politics and current affairs! that's great. And I admire that you like the radio! (I did not like it at all hahaha) Much success colleague! that you fulfill all those projects that you have in mind hehe

ResponderEliminarHi Eric! I don't like radio very much because it makes me a bit ashamed :( but I agree with you in working outdoors and in the office since journalism is a complement to both.
ResponderEliminarHi Eric! As a journalist, I would also like to contribute to a fair democracy in Chile :)
ResponderEliminarHi Eric. The radio would be probably a very good first job. It is very entertained. I share your comment about the reason why we study journalism. We have a duty to inform society of what is happening in our country.
ResponderEliminarHi Eric. I agree on the issue of experience, as I also think it is very useful to go through a smaller or less specialized media to then be able to perform better in a larger media and more specialized in what you like.
ResponderEliminarHi Eric, There are so many things to improve and investigate in Chile. In that way, It is appreciated a lot that you want to contribute with your skills.
